You pay nothing to read our reviews and you never will. SlothBet is funded through affiliate partnerships with online casinos, and we think it is only right to tell you straight away how that works.

This page sets out the whole model, the rules that keep the money away from the editorial work and a contact address in case anything remains unclear.

Where the money for running the site comes from

Some of the links on our website are affiliate links. If you follow one of them to a casino and open an account there, the operator may pay us a commission.

That is the whole of it – we have no other source of income from casinos, and nobody can buy a place in the content of our reviews.

What this means for you as a reader

You pay nothing extra. Registering through an affiliate link costs you exactly the same as going to the casino website directly, and the bonus terms are identical either way.

There is one difference only: we receive a fee for that registration, and the site is financed from it.

The rules that protect the independence of our reviews

We keep the commercial side of the business separate from the editorial side. In practice that means:

  • The size of the commission has no bearing on the score – a casino's position in our rankings is decided by its quality, safety and fairness, not by our commercial relationship with it.
  • We write about the drawbacks too – when we do not recommend a casino, we say so openly, with the reasons and the warnings that go with it.
  • We measure everyone by the same yardstick – every casino goes through the same methodology, with no exceptions.

What we commit to

We want you to play safely and with enough information to hand. Short-term profit therefore comes second to editorial independence – without it our recommendations would be worth nothing at all.
